Duo Barbari
Duo Barbari was born in Turin, Italy. This duo comes from the friendship of Murat and Umberto who met each other thanks to an Erasmus project both in Turkey and Italy. Their repertoire ranges from XVII Century composers to contemporary music; it comprises original scores for doublebass and guitar, arrangements, transcriptions and solo guitar pieces.
Umberto Salvetti
Umberto studied double bass in the State Music Conservatorio “Giorgio Federico Ghedini” of Cuneo with M° Paolo Borsarelli, with whom he graduated in 2008 (Italian “diploma”, Bachelor of Arts). In 2012, in the same institute, he attained a Master of Arts diploma ("Biennio Specialistico di II livello") with the highest grades cum laude. He attended instrumental masterclasses by M° M. Masciadri, M° H. Yamazaki, M° A. Sciancalepore, M° A. Bocini, M° K. Stoll. He completed his perfectioning studies with M° Franco Petracchi at the Accademia “Walter Stauffer” of Cremona. He also trained in the double bass Suzuki Method teaching at the Danish Suzuki Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark. He worked with several orchestral and chamber music ensembles, as Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori di Musica (National Orchestra of the Music Conservatories), Orchestra Sinfonica “Carlo Coccia” of Novara, Orchestra Sinfonica della Valle d’Aosta, Fiarì Ensemble, Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Camerata Ducale di Vercelli, chamber orchestra “I Solisti di Pavia” string chamber orchestra “Archi” of the Music Association “De Sono” (Turin, Italy) and Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra in Turkey (“İstanbul Devlet Senfoni Orkestrası”).
F.Murat Belli
Belli was born in İstanbul in 1987. He started music while he was at secondary school by taking solfege guitar and piano lessons from Mustafa YILGÖR. He studied science and mathematics at high school and graduated from Suleyman Nazif High School but later he decided to study music at the university.
He was accepted to Yıldız Technical University, the Art and Design Faculty, Music and Performing Art Department, Classical Guitar branch as the student of Bülent ERGÜDEN in 2005. After the intensetive interdisciplinary art and music education, he was accepted to the Consevatorio di G.F. Ghedini classical guitar department in 2010. Belli took place in several concerts and organizations both within the country and abroad. The most important ones are “coordinator assistantship at the Y.T.U. International Guitar Festival in 2007 and 2008”, “concert artistry at Y.T.U. International Guitar Festival in 2009, “concert artistry at The National Guitar Meeting at Bilkent University in 2010” and “concert artistry at IP Project Cuneo in 2010”. He attended masterclasses with some of the most worldwide known musicians; Maurizio COLONNA, Carlo MARCIONE , Frank BUNGARTEN , Cem DURUOZ , Robert BARTO and Nora BUSCHMANN.
