LeCoultre & VanHees

Le Coultre & VanHees duo

The dynamic and virtuosic duo LeCoultre&VanHees (violin and guitar) has created a classical repertoire with music of different styles and time-periods. Both musicians have years of experience as chamber-musicians, soloists and orchestral musicians. The audience can experience the expression and joy during their performances. Also less experienced classical music listeners have enjoyed their performances. The instrument of the classical guitar fits in many different styles of music and the colourful playing of Floor Le Coultre fits beautifully in the timbre of Martins’ guitar skills.

Floor Le Coultre (Groningen, 1990) and Martin van Hees (Groningen, 1990) met during their studies at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague (The Netherlands). They both excelled during their studies. Floor graduated with mark 9,5 and distinction for her expressive playing. As a soloist she played with several orchestras and she was a prize-winner at the ‘Prinses Christina Concours’ and the ‘Davina van Wely violin competition’. She performed in China and toured South America and Europe.

Martin van Hees graduated from his master’s degree with mark 9 and a distinction for his contribution to contemporary music. He was a soloist at several orchestras performing the legendary Concierto d’Aranjuez. Martin won prizes at national and international guitar competitions. The guitarist gave concerts in India, Thailand, Greece and Western Europe.

Since 2014 duo LeCoultre&VanHees has performed at numerous chamber music series and festivals. Amongst one the ‘Grachtenfestival’ in Amsterdam. The expressive and vivid playing of the musicians is distinctive for the duo.
