About the tour

From October 2016, Zvov will tour in the Netherlands inviting new audiences to discover the experience of Zvov Sensory. The tour will take place in different cities around the country, starting with Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam and more. After a Zvov Sensory tour in Israel this September, we are very excited to bring the project back to the Netherlands, where everything started.

One of the main principles in Zvov Sensory is to provide our audience with a personal and intimate environment which can be realised only in small groups. Thus, we wish to keep the ticket price accessible for a broad audience. Due to the costs associated with touring, we have decided to do a crowdfunding campaign. The money raised will be used to finance required materials for the performance, costs related with the venues, transportation costs, promotional materials and more.

We have you, our family & friends and all the Zvov fans, some of them have experienced our sensory related performances, that are ready to support us on this journey. Parallel to that with the support of KunstenIsrael and ArtistsinTune we hope to reach more audience and make this project a reality.

About Zvov Sensory

By shutting down one of our senses, the brain starts to replace the impulses with imagination and becomes more alert to other senses. Zvov Sensory is an immersive and unique experience, inviting the audience to a new type of journey within the world of new music.

Blindfolded, the audience members are lead by the hand into the performance space. Every sound, touch, and smell becomes magnified. Once in the isolated performance space they hear string instruments playing and moving around them. Using various prepared objects, the sensory theater makers walk around the audience, introducing the stimuli to each person to create a fresh and exciting experience of discovery without sight.

The composition "Leaf Cycle" by Yvonne Freckmann is integrated amongst the free improvisation of Zvov trio: the audience interacts with fresh & dry leaves while the trio plays the score. After the music stops and the air clears, sensory performers take off the blindfolds and allow the audience to slowly exit the Zvov Sensory world and discuss their individual experiences over a cup of coffee or tea.

Zvov exists of interdisciplinary musicians - performers, composers and improvisers, who combine their broad interests, experience, skills and practices into the overall ensemble creation; Maya Felixbrodt (IL/NL) – Viola, Clara Riviere (SP/NL) – Cello, Shaya Feldman (IL/BL) - Bass. Yvonne Freckmann – composer - (USA/DE/NL) came to the Netherlands on a Fulbright grant to study at the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag. She is active in concert, electronic and theatre music, and she is excited to continue as creative partner in Zvov Sensory (www.yvonnefreckmann.com).

Supporting young artists creates a wave of positive effects and innovative performances, a re-imagining of the concert world. Zvov sensory allows the audience to lose the perspective of time and space in a meditative manner. The Sensory platform provides a bridge of awareness to body and soul, in an actively communicative and creative way! It is also a new way of listening to music, we offer an experience no iPod or streaming service can provide!

ZVOV Sensory op tournee - een avontuurlijke theater-ervaring -

Waarom deze campagne?

Vanaf oktober 2016 gaat Zvov op tournee door Nederland en nodigt zij een nieuw publiek uit om de ervaring van Zvov Sensory te ontdekken. De tournee brengt Zvov langs verschillende steden in Nederland, beginnend in Amsterdam, daarna Den Haag, Rotterdam en andere steden. De precieze data van de voorstellingen zijn te vinden op de “updates” van de voordekunst website. Na een tour van Zvov Sensory in september in Israel zijn we erg enthousiast om het project naar Nederland te brengen, waar het allemaal begon.

Een van de belangrijkste doelen van Zvov Sensory is om het publiek een persoonlijke en intieme ervaring te geven. Dit kan echter alleen bereikt worden in kleine groepen. Wij willen de Zvov Sensory ervaring toegankelijk maken voor een groot publiek en daarom de toegangsprijs betaalbaar houden. Vanwege de kosten die gepaard gaan met de tournee - reizen, materiaal voor de voorstelling, kosten van de locaties, promotie materiaal en meer - doen wij deze campagne en hebben wij uw steun nodig!

Wij hebben jullie - onze familie, vrienden, Zvov-fans (sommigen van jullie hebben al een Sensory ervaring meegemaakt), geïnteresseerden en liefhebbers - nodig om onze creatieve reis te financieren. Over Zvov Sensory

Zvov sensory is een avontuurlijke theater-ervaring. Door het afsluiten van een van onze zintuigen, vervangen de hersenen dat zintuig op een creatieve manier en wordt men bewuster van zijn andere zintuigen.

Deze voorstelling nodigt het publiek uit tot het maken van een verbeelde werkelijkheid door middel van geluiden en andere zintuiglijke ervaringen. Zo wordt elke muzikale toon, elk gevoel en elke geur onder een vergrootglas gelegd. Als het publiek eenmaal geblinddoekt is, bewegen de theater makers en musici zich door het publiek. Zodoende stimuleren zij de zintuigen van het publiek met behulp van verschillende objecten.

Tegelijkertijd wordt de compositie “Leaf Cycle” van Yvonne Freckmann gespeeld door Zvov trio. Deze compositie bevat elementen van het leven van een blad van een boom. Daarnaast bevat de compositie vrije improvisaties van de Zvov trio leden.

Wij, de makers

Zvov bestaat uit multidisciplinaire musici, artiesten, componisten en improvisators. Allen combineren hun brede interesses en ervaring in dit unieke ensemble: MayaFelixbrodt (IL/NL) – Altviool, Clara Riviere (SP/NL) – Cello, Shaya Feldman(IL/BL) – Contrabas. Yvonne Freckmann – Componist (US/DE/NL) kwam naar Nederland met een toegekende beurs wegens exceptioneel talent om te studeren aan het koninklijk conservatorium in Den Haag. Zij componeert concert muziek, elektronische muziek en doet muziektheater. Yvonne voelt zich vereerd en blij om creatief partner van Zvov Sensory te zijn. Waarom uw steun?

Het steunen van jonge artiesten creëert een golf van positivisme, nieuwe voorstellingen en het herontdekken van de concert-wereld. Daarnaast steunt u de innovatieve wereld van moderne muziek en deze eigentijdse en unieke voorstelling. Maar wat maakt deze voorstelling uniek? Zvov sensory neemt u mee in een voorstelling waar u het gevoel van tijd en ruimte verliest. De Sensory ervaring overbrugt op een communicatieve, meditatieve en creatieve manier het bewustzijn tussen lichaam en geest. Daarnaast biedt deze ervaring een nieuwe en unieke manier om naar muziek te luisteren. Een ervaring die geen iPod of streaming service kan bieden.
